99 Red Balloons

Ok,
Well maybe only one red balloon...but for those that have lived long enough, you should have that song stuck in your head now- HA!

I ran in Niwot today (with another Ultimate Direction Prototype Vest. It worked great!), on the trail that cuts through the town, and was in the right place at the right time. This shot above I was on the trail as it went about over my head!

Here's some other shots below as I was approaching the red one on the trail..some were super close to the ground by the time I got over there..... and then they shot back up as they approached a grove of trees!

BARLEY

Here's one of the cats we adopted recently, that our momma cat took under her wing. Boo wasn't so sure at first and even got a little nasty about it with her hissing at Barley(and Basel), but after awhile she  took to them, she even allowed them to nurse off her. She had already one of her own-Bliss which we thought was sweet that she'd allow them milky too.

First Swim Meet of Summer

Went to a swim meet this weekend for our kids up in Windsor near Loveland. It was hot, but luckily I was able to borrow one of work's Sunshade Tents.

They all did great and placed well. A highlight was Savannah's 25 Butterfly and 1st place finish in Breast stroke.

 Sierra Cruzing by...she was always in the top 3 on every race she did.

Savannah's first race in a while...she was nervous but did great!

Mosey on Mom's back watching the swimming..he couldn't understand at first why everyone was shouting....but he liked the clapping part. The big red dot on his forehead is a bug bite...bugs like his head apparently.

Sophia's dive off the blocks sequence...gotta work on that dive girl!

 Little Dude(Henry) is also on the team now.This was his first meet and he did great!

 Little Thalia, relaxing under the Sunshade. "Proper Girls" don't spend time out in the sun don't you know....they sit and eat everyone else's snacks!

Cake Cake

Hmmmmm, yummy cakes attached...eat them at your hearts content. HA!

These are the cakes that my daughters did at their 4-H competition. They turned out great and it actually got them launched into competing against the higher ups in state fair down in Pueblo. (Pretty cool) The deal was they had to bring their cakes to the competition pre-frosted, then when the whistle blew they had only one hour to decorate the cakes. The turned out great.. and yes they tasted even better than they looked.

CMA Worship Dance

The girls had their CMA Worship dance Program this weekend. They looked so beautiful up on the stage, and the music was great that they danced to. It was inspirational and spiritual at the same time. It was a lot of work to haul them up to Fort Collins every Friday for months, but in the end watching them made up there made up for it. Let's here it for Mom!(6 more shopping days left BTW before you know what...)

The shots below are in order of the program...this was tough to shoot! For you Photo nerds out there I was shooting ISO 6400 at around 500 shutter, 5.0 Aperture. Its a good thing the girls didn't go first because I didn't compensate for the bright lights on the dancers and it kept getting blown out. Once I increased the shutter speed it actually help out a lot. I just got a new camera as well so I'm still figuring it out.

Sophia's Bday!!!

Yes, she had Ice cream in a waffle cone prior to blowing out her candles...she is our Candy Monster/ Horder all wrapped up into one.(need some plastic baggies to put your junk in? Sophia can help you out with that)..... WE LOVE YOU SOPHIE BEAR!

Here's the wind up.....she really did this as we were finishing her Bday song...at the end of the regular song we add on " This is your birthday song, it isn't very long, HEY! (I have no idea when we started doing that....its just always been that way...kind like my "great hair"(Yea, ...right).

.....and yes we know it doesn't say 10 on the cake..but 11.....not to mention that the candles don't match. So "undesigner" of us.
